Beginning with a look at various trends and markets, students will learn how to develop designs to be printed onto textiles. Using traditional silk screen methods and Digital printing, students will learn the basics of pattern repetition and different pattern styles, for various end uses and markets. Students will learn how to develop a design from start to finish, with final color ways and pattern modules, scaled for their desired end uses. There will be the opportunity to connect with textile printing facilities and have their designs printed and realized onto textiles.
