Felting

Felting:

Felt is an ancient technique in which loose fibers are matted, condensed and pressed together to create an unwoven textile. In the ‘Intro to felting’ class students will learn the principles of wet felting as well as dry or needle felting.

Nuno Felting:

An exciting and beautiful variation of felting, Nuno felting bonds loose fibers, usually wool, into light weight open weave fabric, such as silk organza and chiffon, to create a light weight felt. It is popularly used for creating scarves, shawls and even garments.
