There are many techniques in printing on fabrics and fabric and fiber dyeing. Printing on fabric can be done using any number of traditional and manual printing techniques such as block printing, screen printing, stenciling, marbling, and hand painting.
Fabric and fiber dyeing involves immersing totally or partially the material in a dye or tint, and can be done using natural as well as synthetic dyes. Examples of natural dyeing are indigo dyeing, shibori or tie-dye, Ikat or resist dyeing to name a few.
